[Exiles Members] Important Notice from The Exiles

Dear Exiles and Bay Area Community,

As our community engaged in recent Exiles elections and announced the 2022
Board to serve our organization, we became aware that the Exiles is
delinquent with the California Attorney General's Registry of Charitable
Trusts. We regret to inform you that due to this delinquency and as a
charitable corporation 501(c)3 for public benefit, we must halt all
operations until we can remedy our delinquency status with the State of
California. This action means the cancellation and/or postponement of all
events, programs, munches, and orientations until further notice. We will
also not be accepting any new members until we are in compliance.

With our most profound apologies, we recognize this decision impacts many
people on various levels, including emotionally, physically, and
financially. Please know that many of us share those feelings with you.
However, we are actively collecting all documentation necessary to submit
missing paperwork from prior years and rectify the situation. In the
meantime, we would like to note that we are in federal compliance with our
nonprofit status and our business registration.

Our desired mission is to come back in full force and enthusiastically
re-engage with our members and the greater community. At the same time, we
will continue on our path of growth, accountability, and transparency. The
new Board intends to build paths for the Exiles to thrive for many years to
come.
