[Exiles Members] Clarification of Exiles Articles Vote Results

Dear Exiles Members:

The Exiles affirms that we welcome as members all adults who do not
identify as men.  The recent email to our membership on the voting results
contained misleading and potentially confusing language implying that
gender diverse and trans women were not eligible to be members. This is not
true! Our current article, which remains in effect, describes our
membership: "Membership in The Exiles is open to all women and those whose
gender self-identification is other than male, who are over 18 years of
age, and who have a personal and positive interest in BDSM."

The Exiles is an inclusive and sex-positive space for people who are women,
intersex, nonbinary, genderqueer, gender variant or gender nonconforming,
regardless of level of experience.  All such people are welcome, and
racism, transphobia, classism, ageism, size discrimination, and other forms
of discrimination have no place in our community.  We apologize that our
communication was confusing and potentially hurtful to our members. We look
forward to seeing all of you at future events, including tonight's event,
"Rituals: How They Can Enhance Your Relationship" with Lady D.
