If any of this gets your juices flowing, then do we have a program for you!
Our fabulous presenters (and even some of you) will offer the inside scoop on
M/s (Master/slave) and D/s (Dominant/submissive) relationships in their various
permutations. What is a Master (Mistress)/slave relationship? What is Dominance
and submission? What is Daddy/boy? What is Mommy/girl? What are the
similarities? What are the differences?
Whether you are an experienced player in the M/s or D/s arena or would just
like to know more, please join us. This program will involve panel discussion,
audience participation and a demo or two. Who could ask for more?
Who are our presenters?
Daddy Sal Hopkins has been a part of the Leather Community and an activist for
20 years. She is a founder and past coordinator of The Exiles and has organized
numerous events and fundraising efforts including PerverCity's Bondage and
Bonbons and 'SF Unleashed' Play Parties. She is on the board of Leather
Traditions, a group that produces events supporting the D/s lifestyle. Her
participation in the community comes from a passion for the Leather lifestyle,
for education and for mentoring.
Nancy Groschwitz has been active in the BDSM community for nearly thirty years.
A founding member of Exiles, she currently runs the Greater San Francisco Bay
Area chapter of MAsT (Masters and slaves Together).
Liza Sibley came to power in the late 60s while attending Woodstock and has
been kinky ever since. In 2002, she moved to San Francisco and jumped into the
leather community with both boots. She has served as Coordinator of the Exiles,
has hosted monthly MAsT (Masters and slaves Together) meetings at her home, is
on the Board of the Bears of San Francisco, is the “Controller” and a steering
committee member for Leather Levi Weekend, and is a member of the Alameda
County Leather Corp as well as the Exiles. Liza was also the IMsL 2008
runner-up. She is the proprietor of TheTwistedBear.com and Robust Leather.com.
DJ & Mercy have been together since 1997 and in the last 12 years have seen
much change and growth in their relationship. One thing that has always been
there is an underlying foundation of D/s. First with the roles that they
naturally fell into without discussion and later in more formally discussed and
negotiated roles. Moving from NY to CA in 2000, and discovering The Exiles in
2002, was a major turning point in their lives; affording them the freedom to
share more of their own private world with the larger BDSM Community. Mommy and
little girl is a natural, loving and nurturing interaction that they both
cherish and they are thankful to now live in the Bay Area where it is so easy
to allow their true selves to shine.
boyjean has been involved in the Leather life for over 18 years and has
identified as a boy for as long as he can remember. he has the privilege and
honor of serving his Sir/Daddy and regards service as a passion that comes from
the heart. he is a member of the San Francisco boys of Leather, and past vice
president and program coordinator of that organization. he is also involved
with the Northern California Bootblacks. he is a prior titleholder having served
our Leather Community as Northern California Bootblack 2007, and International
Community Bootblack 2007.
Liza’s slave, Jody, began her leather journey in 1980 as a willful yet dutiful
servant. She founded Leather and Lace, a woman to woman BD/DS/SM group in Los
Angeles. In 1993, Jody produced the “This is Leather” show, educating and
entertaining more than 2000 leather and non-leather folk during the Christopher
Street West Festival in Los Angeles. Jody has been a Judge for the 1990
International Ms. Leather contest and for the 2005 Mr. San Francisco Leather
contest. Jody is currently the Education Co-Chair for Leather Levi Weekend, is
a member of the Alameda County Leather Corp and the Exiles as well as MAsT.
Jody has taught classes on slavery and submission as well as on military
protocol.
Note: Parking near the Women’s Bldg. is horrendous, we know. There are two
locked
garages near us. One is at 21st St. between Valencia and Mission. The second is
at 16th and Hoff St. between Mission and Valencia (enter on Hoff). Of course,
even these fill up. We also suggest walking, carpooling, taking the bus, BART,
or coming early and having dinner in the area.
About the Exiles:
The Exiles is an educational group for women who have a positive personal
interest in BDSM between women. The group provides educational events where
women with all levels of experience will have a safe place to meet, explore and
share information about safety, play techniques and resources, and connect with
the leather community locally and nationally.
