Dear Friends,

 

Here is the link to the online ballot for the special January 2022 Exiles election to vote on our proposed Articles changes - the formal life blood of our organization. A committee of fierce brains, big hearts and some serious cleavage came together, fought and flirted about commas, tax law, identity, and how best the Exiles can show up for ourselves and our communities. NOW IT’S YOUR TURN!

We've given you brief descriptions of each proposed change, as well as a link to see the current and proposed texts.

 

The ballot is in two sections:

 
"Major Changes," proposals that would affect how the group is run. You will vote to accept or reject the proposed changes individually, one by one.
 
"Minor Changes," a group of small and uncontroversial changes, such as corrections, clarifications, and a few edits that reflect how the organization is already running. Changing these will not affect how the group is run. You will vote YES or NO to accept or reject them all as a group.
 

It's a long ballot, and you don't have to vote on every single item in order for your ballot to be valid (but vote on as many as you can!). You can also start the ballot and come back later and finish up (though once you hit 'submit' it's a done deal). BUT it must be completed by 5pm Pacific Time on February 1, 2022.
