[ExilesAnnounce] Volunteers for "Leather Land" at San Jose Gay Pride on Sunday Aug 19

Dear friends,

The community is looking for people to volunteer at the leather area of the
upcoming San Jose Gay Pride festival, which will be Sunday Aug 19 from
noon-7pm

The leather booths and the demo tent will shared with all the leather
clubs/organizations who wish to participate. Wyatt Gale is doing the
coordination and scheduling.
There's no cost to the Exiles. We will send club and/or event literature to
be handed out. You can volunteer to hand out our literature, and/or to help
in one of the areas below.

Let me know if you want to go and represent the Exiles. Let Wyatt know if
you want to commit to participate and in which areas. (kingwyatt at gmail.com,

Volunteer shifts are available for tent monitor, boot black, ambassador,
and demo.

Open shifts at the moment include

1. Tent Entrance (basically check id's and ensure folks understand what
they are consenting to view)
12:45 - 2:45
2:45 - 4:45
4:45 - 6:45

2. Bootblacking (we will have a sign asking folks to tip the bb, the
decision to keep the tips or donate them to our TBD charity is up to them).
If you know anyone who has a bb stand or setup that would be really
helpful. BB should bring their own kits.
2:30 - 4:30pm
4:30 - 6:30

3. Booth Ambassadors (knowledgable and comfortable talking with non-leather
folks about our lifestyle, hand out literature
(as provided by clubs, point folks toward the right club or organization
for them)
11:30am - 2pm
2pm - 4:30pm
4:30pm - 7pm

4. Demo (no fire, sex, smoking, nudity)
Topics already assigned are Impact Play, Rope, Singletail, Clothes pins,
We're open to other topics - maybe electrical play, caning, spanking,
paddles, etc.
5pm - 5:45pm
6pm - 6:45pm
