An important announcement from your friends at the SF Citadel
October 15th 2011

No easy way of saying this but we've lost our lease!

Our landlord has decided to put the building up either for sale or for rent
at a MUCH higher rental cost. We are trying to negotiate right now with him,
so we'll see what happens.

Whether circumstances allow us to stay at our current venue or not, the
search for a new space has already begun with an emphasis on finding the
best possible place in San Francisco for the SF Citadel to serve as a
community space for all the leather and sex positive groups in the Bay Area.

The good news is that if we do have to leave our current home we leave this
space with the best references from our current landlord as well as
references from our neighbors, our past landlord, and the city of San
Francisco Department of Health. However, even with the best references, it's
not easy to find a new location for a dungeon, because it is tough finding
landlords who are okay with what we do (even in San Francisco)! Even though
it's tough, Phil and I feel that it's very important to be transparent and
let all landlords know the type of business we are.

No matter what, SF Citadel is leased in the current space through
January 2012, so parties/classes/rentals will continue. Right now we are
booking out all the specialty parties through 2012 and Keri has been working
hard on booking classes for the upcoming year. So we're moving forward with
the positive outlook that we will in fact find the right fit for our current
members and our new members who will discover SF Citadel in the future. We
are NOT giving up.

To say this is a stressful time for Phil and I would be an understatement,
we love our community and SF Citadel.

updates and announcements to the community. Please don't call us for

As most of you know, we have moved the SF Citadel before (back in 2005), and
what we learned then was that our community grew in the new space to be
stronger and more diverse than ever. When a door closes, a window opens.
Phil and I look forward to new opportunities and exciting changes ahead, and
we are relying on the community to be part of making this happen.

So. signing up volunteers for the move when it happens, who's onboard ?!
