What do the modern faces of Leather look like? Can't figure out what to make
of the Leather community today? Join us as we celebrate the viability,
contributions and potential of the modern Leather community!

 

In this panel we aim to focus on how and why the heart, soul, passion and
spirit of Leather are very much alive and well in the Bay Area. Our
panelists represent as much of a cross-section of our community as we are
possibly able to provide you, including sub groups of the Leather community
that are often less visible but still extremely active. They will lead a
community discussion on topics relevant to modern Leather. 

 

In what ways are the traditions of Leather history being used in today's
communities? How is community being formed today and what are the
contributions being made by this new Leather? What are the potential
challenges to Leather evolution and what innovative solutions are being
implemented by sub groups of the greater community? How has the Leather
community made progress and in what ways can it grow still? These are the
questions that we will ask, and begin to answer, with this discussion.
Please bring your questions, your enthusiasm and your willingness to share
with us and with each other. We also encourage you to wear your club colors
and represent your organization(s).

 

Our hope is to inspire you to feel connected and to bring recognition and
scope to the full spectrum of the Leather community. It may not be where you
expect it or are used to looking for it, but Leather is not going anywhere
so long as there are people that identify as modern day Leather folk.

 

Our thanks to SF Citadel for their generous donation of the space, and to
the LDG for beginning these discussions and paving the way for further ones.
