The next "BDSM from Top to Bottom - Exiles New Member Orientation" is coming
up soon!  We need volunteers to make it happen!  Can anyone help out?   

 

Also - please tell your friends who are not (yet) members.. This is a great
opportunity to have lots of fun while becoming eligible to join the club.
Membership is not a requirement to volunteer!  

 

(I believe Narrator and Experienced Bottom both need to be filled members.
YMMV, but as "Orientation wrangler" this time, this is the decision I made
J)

 

When and Where: June 4th, MCCSF on Eureka near 18th.  Volunteers should aim
to arrive by 7:00 pm sharp, especially if coming by car.  We will be done by
~9:30 pm.

 

Volunteer needs:

 

1 person for Admin - important responsible job (still needed!!) 

Running door - taking $$ - getting waivers signed - collecting membership
forms at the end and passing to Orientation Wrangler (me this time)

 

4-6 people for speaking roles.  There is a script to follow; improvisation
is allowed and encouraged.

Narrator - Arguably the most important role (still needed!!).  This person
welcomes folks; explains definitions; bridges the skits; explains, using a
volunteer, the safe places to hit (not demo); pulls it all together.

Acting part 1 - Experienced Bottom (filled).  Acts in every skit; bottoms to
"Pick-up Top" in a short ~5-minute demo scene.  Should be played by a real
experienced player as this person needs to explain from a place of knowledge
(ostensibly to Newbie Top but really to the audience)

Acting part 2 - Newbie Top (filled).  Acts in almost every skit.  Can be
played by a person with almost any level of experience.  Should have some
experience in order to understand what questions to "ask".  This role does
not have any play in the skits, so need not be played by an actual Top.

Acting part 3 - Pick-up Top (filled).  Negotiates with, and then Tops,
Experienced Bottom in a short ~5-minute demo scene.

Acting parts 4-6 - DM (1 skit) (filled); Flexible Switch (1 skit) (still
needed); Obnoxious Top (1 skit) (still needed).  These roles could also be
played by Narrator if need be.  

(Optional) Shadow Players (1-2 pairs of actors) - play out a series of very
short scenes watched and described by Experienced Bottom and Newbie Top

 

Other things to know about the roles: Pick-up Top and Experienced Bottom
need to be willing to play with each other.  It helps if you already have
chemistry. (These roles are filled for the upcoming Orientation.) To do
"shadow play", you need to have a partner to do it with.

Please also note, any member can attend Orientation for free, whether or not
you volunteer.  The program is interactive, and we enjoy having lots of
members there to lend their experience, knowledge and personal points of
view to the discussion.
