International Ms Leather Contest Celebrates 25th Year

San Francisco, CA  (August 10, 2010) – We’re back and better than ever as we gear up to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of International Ms Leather April 14-17, 2011 in San Francisco.  In addition to the annual events and activities you’ve come to love, we have a number of exciting new parties, events, and performances in the works, guaranteed to make this silver anniversary sizzle.     

Our two contests - International Ms Leather and International Ms Bootblack – will continue to be highlights of the weekend.  Our contestants participate in an all out, balls to the wall contest as they answer pop questions, give speeches, strut their stuff in hot wear and entertain us with their fantasies on stage.    These talented leatherwomen share their journey with us as they strive for a chance to win these prestigious titles.  The winners take their messages of leather, love and light around the world as they serve the community by teaching classes, giving demos, raising money for their hand-picked charities and playing hard wherever they go. Sweating in anticipation?  Us too!  And we’re not done yet.    All this and more information will soon be available on our shiny, new website.   Better organized and more interactive than ever before, pre-event information will be at an all time high.  Watch for the announcement of our “go live” then check it out and check back often to ensure you don’t miss a thing.
A leadership adjustment is also in the mix.  After four years, Levi stepped down from his role as one of the Producers of International Ms Leather weekend.  Levi is grateful to have had the privilege of working with the other Producers, staff and volunteers of IMsL, and to have had the opportunity to serve the leather community in this capacity.  He assisted in purchasing the rights to IMsL weekend, establishing IMsL, LLC as a legal entity, creating the IMsL office in Baltimore, re-establishing and growing the event in San Francisco, and producing International Ms Leather weekends 2007 - 2010.  In this time, Levi has also relocated to California, and completed a course of study at Bauman College to become a certified Natural Foods Chef, with an emphasis on therapeutic nutrition and holistic cooking.  He is currently working as a chef at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and will be focusing his energy on establishing a personal chef and small-event
 catering business "Knifeplay".

is looking forward to participating in IMsL 2011 as an enthusiastic attendee, and is planning to make up for lost time in the play space!
