Hello all,

The Exiles are holding a special version of our new member orientation this coming Tuesday, April 13, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m., at the SF LGBT Center, as part of CUAV's SAFETYFEST. Unlike our usual orientations, this one will be open to all genders -- and it's free! So please pass the word to any of your friends who might be curious about kink and would benefit from learning some basic safety info. Text below can be copied and pasted -- please help spread the word!

Thanks,

Suzanne

********************************************

The Exiles are pleased to be part of SAFETYFEST 2010, CUAV's First Annual Celebration of Queer & Trans Power in the Bay Area!

We will be presenting our new member orientation, BDSM Safety Essentials: From Top to Bottom, on Tuesday, April 13, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m., at the SF LGBT Center, 1800 Market Street, San Francisco. Unlike our usual bimonthly orientations, this one is FREE and is open to ALL genders! So if you or anyone you know is interested in learning more about kinky sex and want to learn some basic safety tips, this is the place to be! (This orientation *will* count toward the orientation membership requirement for any women who are interested in becoming Exiles members.) You must bring a legal picture ID with you, for age verification.

The Exiles is the SF Bay Area's premier women's BDSM organization. Membership is open to all who are 18+, who don't ID as male, and who have an interest in risk-aware BDSM between women. Attending the Orientation is a requirement for Exiles membership.

Our main focus is education and safety, so if you just want some good information and aren't interested in joining the Exiles, that's okay.
In the Orientation, we'll cover the basics of several different kinds of BDSM play. While this by no means will make you a BDSM expert, we
want to emphasize that keeping you safe - and keeping those you play with safe - is an important goal of the Exiles.

You don't have to be a member to attend our monthly educational program meetings, held every 3rd Friday at the Women's Building in San
Francisco. (Please note: Our April meeting will be on the 4th Friday, April 23, to avoid a conflict with IMsL.) Come to learn, cruise, and
have fun. Monthly meetings are open to women and those whose gender self-identification is other than male.

Founded in 1979, Community United Against Violence (CUAV) works to build the power of LGBTQQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) communities to transform violence and oppression.
